These are the terms for working with us, in plain English. We've kept them short on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email us and we'll explain.
Studio Simple is a small website business in Beaverton, Oregon, run by Cooper Cardwell. When these terms say "we" or "us", they mean Studio Simple. "You" means the business we build a website for.
We'll build a sample homepage for your business for free, with no obligation. If you decide not to go ahead, you owe us nothing and we won't publish the sample as your website.
$59 a month, with no setup fee. You only start paying once your site is live and you're happy with it. That price covers designing and building your site, hosting it, the secure padlock, and small edits whenever you need them. Your web address is included too: we register it and pay for it.
There's no contract. You pay month to month and can cancel any time by emailing us. Once you cancel, we stop billing you. Your site stays up until the end of the month you've paid for, then it comes down, because the site is part of the monthly service. Your web address is a different matter: it carries your business name, so if you leave, we'll hand it over to you for free.
Everything you give us, like your text, photos and logo, stays yours. By sending it, you're telling us you have the right to use it and you're happy for us to put it on your site. If you leave, we'll send it back to you on request.
We work hard to keep your site up and fast, and we'll fix problems as quickly as we can. But like every website, it can occasionally go down for reasons outside our control, and we can't promise it never will.
If something does go wrong, the most we can owe you is what you've paid us in the last 12 months. We're not responsible for lost sales or other indirect losses.
We won't build or host anything illegal, misleading, or that uses someone else's work without permission. If a site breaks that rule, we can take it down.
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and email our clients about anything that affects them.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon.
